A long time ago out of sheer desperation i posted about my TB gelding who to be honest scared the living daylights out of me, He thought he was a stallion and was getting really too much.
Lots of people replied and i promised to let them know how things went...well i kept him, really because i was sure if i was even able to sell/rehome him he would either injure someone or be passed from pillar to post or beaten up.
He for some reason is now a lovely horse- he still has his moments but in general i trust him and can have quite nice enjoyable hacks.
I really felt we reached a land mark recently when i hacked him out with my daughter on her pony which was unthinkable previously even in walk but we went on a long hack and had 2 really nice "in control canters with brakes off road (yes as apposed to no brakes cantering on the road!)
He finally feels like MY horse as i no longer have to wait for another livery to be going for a quiet walk to be able to ride.
Thanks so much to all you guys who advised and helped me out back then, sorry i cant remember your names individually but much appreciated!! xx

Well I didnt give you any advice but glad you have both found an understanding and you can enjoy each other, well done for perservering with him

Thanks casanova!
Not sure if it was a case of persevering or forcing myself tbh but think ok now so either way!

I've replied to your PM, but just wanted to add on here how delighted I am for you.

Your story is so like my own with my TB. They could be twins!

So very pleased with the outcome. I am sure that the time & patience you have invested will continue to pay off. You are so right that they continue to have their "moments"

I really really am over the moon yes- Its taken me a while to say things are good because i was too scared i'd jinx it!!
His name is actually on the waiting list for a TB rescue place- he was bottom of their priority list as of course he was being looked after and i was in no desperate hurry to get rid- In fact it was a relief when they called to say they couldnt take him straight away- Thank god! I will be calling them to take his name off, He's going nowhere!
