I would e-mail back with a low offer to see what the says. He obviously wants to sell and you are obviously interested to have posted the question - it may shock you. Alternatively, ask him what he is willing to drop to and then knock some more off in your offer.

im glad its come too late in a way as i think i am better off with what i now have..even if he was well schooled and mine isnt...its just interesting that she was so determined that he was worth that amount of money-yet that is monehts ago since i tried him!
i had the same thing a week ago, went to look at horse about 2 months ago , but was to green on the jumping. then got an email to say price has dropped substantially due to owner starting new job in jan 08 and desperate to sale am i still interested.
lol i know it is..but to be honest hes probably not an eventer i have no sound knowleedge but then again i do not with digby..but then again he hasnt done much at all so thereforehasnt been tunneled into one discipline.
