That is just typical......you can't rely on workmen for anything

The County is digging up our road to put drainage pipes in, this is the scene outside my house and front paddock right now, all parked on my verge. Odd rules here, 33' either side of the centre of the road technically belongs to the County, yet I am responsible for mowing etc

Anyway, having had the digger going and trucks reversing into my drive to turn

(seriously annoying me!) since 7am I thought it would be good for the foal to see all this traffic.

So.........I turn her and Lola out in the paddock, and 10 minutes later the workmen turn everything off, down tools, pile into a vehicle and buzz off! ha! How can I traffic proof my foal if they disappear! Not that baby is interested, or bothered anyway.

Every time they park infront of my house one of the dogs goes and pees on every vehicle

the other one just paces up and down doing his job, barking and looking fierce. I am not going to tell them that he is the biggest softy out and a wimp to boot though. One chap threatened to shoot the GSD, I told him I'd rip his balls off by the roots if he touched my dog (precise words) and that if he set foot past my fence line he was tresspassing and the dog was merely doing his job

I am in a very bolshy mood today.

Go Enfys, go Enfys!!!! You tell those workmen! Sadly, it must be time for a 3 hour lunch (union rules adn all that) and no doubt if they have to direct the traffic there will be 2 of them at each sign, for safety you understand

. Gotta love summer in Canada, or as I heard it put the other day - the 4 seasons of Canada - winter, almost winter, nearly out of winter, and roadwork season
