I had just gotten out of a nice hot bath and into jammies, then as OH came through the door after giving the 'osses their night haynets and carrots (his day off, his turn!) a phone call...

'....there are horses loose in ********'....

.....OH said all ours were accounted for but rather be safe than sorry, I pulled on some clothes, stuck on wellies and a hat....and off we went back to the next village where our 'osses are. (We can see the field gate from across two big fields...) and there they all were, in their paddocks, munching happily. Meant of course they all had to have an extra carrot each...

Then it happened of course, as we were heading back to the gate and saying how pretty the ice and snow looks in the moonlight, and I slid and fell on my ar*e.....

Had a quick drive around to see if we could see any 'osses about but no, so hopefully they been caught by now....

Could do without too many of those....

So back into a hot bath to soak those bruises! :) Glad your horses were OK, hope the loose ones are safe & sound.

I'm sat next to the fire and back in jammies now! Bedtime in a lil bit.... :D

Any excuse for wine and chocolate eh?

Ho yes! but I have neither :( so it will have to be a hot choccie drink and a piece of homemade cake! :D

Oh no poor you! Iv just been out and checked the horses too and it's so cold out!! I decided to fill another bucket full of water as got a feeling my tack room hot water tank will also freeze and it's a pain lugging from house! Plus iv done my knees in (again) so can't manage the water carrier thingy as too heavy! Well as I was walking the 20 metres to the bottom tack room carrying the bucket to the brim the bleeding handle snapped off and water went everywhere, mainly on me! Think I'm in need of a bath now to warm myself through!!
