Thought I'd found the perfect place. Two mins from my house, loads of grazing, nice and quiet. Mega private so I'd be able to just get on. Only downfall is no arena, but had use of massive grass cow field for schooling all summer.

But I've had it and am looking to move asap!

Firstly the woman that owns the yard moaned about my sweetitch sufferers wearing their fly rugs. OH told me to take them off and 1st sign of sweetitch show her and put the back on!! This is after her horsey friend coming out and giving her opinion on it.

Yesterday, I get text at 9am from other lady who has lami pony 2 let him out his pen as she's on training. I say I can't as just dropped my car off at garage... Don't hear anything else. I borrow a car 2 go up yard in afternoon, to find YO feeding and doing her pony. She then comes to me having a go at me saying I'm not pulling my weight and helping, I was like hang on... She never asked me.

She then had a go at me that the poo picking hadn't been done (there's 2 days worth), and my ponies are underweight (they had worms and have been treated)

I'm also 8months pregnant so was told by other owner to leave poo as she's worried about me lifting wheelbarrow! I don't mind doing it, it just takes me ages as I don't fill wheel barrow.

My OH heard this whole conversation, and said the YO is stuck up, think she knows it all.

My mate said I should say, I rent the field not the advice!!

But instead I'm moving, asap!! Think I've got somewhere just waiting for it to be confirmed.

Oh and other owner, text me again this morning askin me 2 do pony again, but my OH had left for work an hour b4 this text.

I can't win!!

My OH says I don't need the stress at this stage of my pregnancy! Arghhhhhhh!!!!

Rant over!! Sorry!!

I think your doing the right thing. It would be a headache for anyone but your OH is right and you should be able to relax and not constantly have someone upsetting you at that stage of your pregnancy.
Take your ponies to the new place and make sure you set the ground rules with the new ppl re poo picking and looking after other ppls ponies.

I had this when I was pregnant and after I had my baby at a yard near me. It was a nightmare they were late into horses and thought they knew everything (they knew nothing). I must have been seen as an easy target, OH worked away and I was on own with a new baby, and back at work after 8 weeks, they were so awful I ended up giving my horse away because of them they were so nasty. They even tried to blame me for an injury to their horse and claim on my insurance cos they claimed i left a gate open (I didn't), my OH went mad and told them where to get off. i have always said I would have my day with them, horrible horrible people... Seven years on I now have two lovely gee gees and keep them at a lovely livery yard. You just need to be aware there are some awful people out there who take advantage of nice people's circumstances. Move and dont look back Make sure you our your OH tell them exactly what you think of them on your departure it will make you feel better!! Good luck with the pending birth of your baby and try not to get too stressed out.

my heart goes out to you, my 2 brought on Labour (with big help from land owners).

i have a similar issue, 3 tots (youngest is just 7 weeks) the land owners have no idea on horse's, they have fed them Laburnum cos they looked hungary & had no grass so now i have 2 scrawny things that are under the vet for poisoning.
now they have terminated contract cos the paddock was muddy over winter, & risk to the dogs from electric fencing being on!
am glad to be moving, going somewhere with no fencing/shelter/water/electrics but someone horse orienated (& who has their own healthy ponios)

worry about yourself, that bump & your own ponios, everyone else is second.

Hugs hon.

Thanks peeps!

It will be totally do my own horses, I'll have my own fields for just my two, so poo picking will be all me, and I won't get jumped on if I don't do it 1 day!

There's wash areas that I'll be able to bath my ponies too.

I think my OH will have something to say once I've got all my stuff away from there!!

Looks like I'll be able to move next week, I've paid up to end of month, but will go asap. That way if I got into labour I know my horses will be fine at new place.

I hardly slept last night stressing about it, and its hard enough to sleep as it is!
