I have finally made the decision and the horses are out as from tonight! (Rainsheets on of course). It is going to be min of 10 degrees overnight with light rain from midnight to 4am (god i'm a weather nerd)! I had to do it, it is MAY for goodness sake! Anyone else still hanging it out for the sunshine? xx

i want mine to be out

Axel stayed out last night for the first time, he had a middleweight turnout rug on with a neck cover

We might take the mares rugs off tomorrow and leave them off if it stays nice, like you said it is May!

Mine was out last night with a rug on but I was wittering all night about him getting cold/wet/tired/muddy! I think my mums gelding has been out naked for some time now. The old mare is out 24/7 with a field shelter. Mine is just a wimp

Mine are too fat to go out

I can't get them off too much grass no matter how hard I try in this blooming rain. Even if I penned them up on a bit smaller than their stables.

Mustn't be ungrateful, lovely fields and stables, but rented grass on a dairy farm, not allowed to reduce it to mud

I desperately want to leave mine out but yo is being stubborn. There is plenty of grass and I need my boys hock to fuse leaving him out will really help.I asked one of the other girls to ask for permission hes being really awkward with me at the moment.

Ours have been out for a couple of weeks as their stables are being reroofed post fire!
They are thoroughly enjoying themselves it has to be said!
