Had real fun yesterday at Rockhampton. There was hardly anyone there which was a shame, although I wouldn't have been placed if there had been lots in our class.
Did the 95cm open, which was really small - good thing as we haven't competed since last Spring. Managed a tight turn in the jump off and was so shocked I forgot we were in a jump off for a few seconds. That has left me wanting to do more & do better next time.
Sienna LOVED it & is far more suited to SJ than eventing.

Where to next?
 
Sienna loves Rock, the distances really suit her & she can't run on too much. I have to add there were only 8 in the 95cm open, hardly anyone there for the afternoon classes, & there were some nice classes, real shame.
Sarah did really well & won the 2ft 9.

IF I get lots done today I'm going to try and get to the Hand on Wed for the BN & Disco. Might as well get some use from my registration this year

Congrats Sarah. She must be feeling pretty good. I haven't been to Rockhampton in about 2 years. Horses always seem to jump there well.
 
She is looking very smart. Lovely round!
Why does S like SJ more than XC. Does she like jumping inside, or is she like my baggage who thinks XC fences are spookier??

She LOVES XC and is brilliant, really clever & bold. I am getting windy though and really wonder whether it's worth the terror.
I do find that she has to go absolutely flat out as well to get the time PN, & she's 14 so I'll only do a couple of events this year I think.
May change my mind as the season progresses.....
 
I see your point. I find SJ fun as well, but normally only if it is against the clock. However over here all of the aff stuff up to 1.10 is double clears, and a lot of the training shows are too. You are lucky to have all those jump offs.
