Wow you got that set up quickly lol lol Must feel threatened by Dr. Bri's over ten thousand supporters in four days hey.
Now to be fair I wouldnt associate myself with the comments on the bring back hunting site but if you need to drum up support from that lot good luck with the sick comments they make ruining your page PMSL

Perhaps we should copy some over to here?

From SAVE ME about your alternative.................." how cynical...of course we care about lambs too, but their interest in lambs is purely financial...they are complaining about foxes killing them because it is a loss of revenue to farmers not because of the poor lamb. As sad as it is when this happens, it is nature...unlike lots of 'humans' on horses dressed in ridiculous outfits attempting to be part of the 'in set' chasing a defenceless animal with dogs and ripping them to pieces for pleasure!"

That summed it up nicely me thinks lol
 
Scratchline, i assume you have never farmed sheep. i have asked you politely to be put tidy and decent posts on here, we run a farming business yes, but we care big time for our stock and to lose any lamb however way is bloody sad. you do not understand shepherds.so, please do notcall me cynical, and have some compassion, not just for the fox but livestock too.
 
ok Scratchline, i have repeatedly asked you for pleasantness, to no avail. are we not allowed a different point of view from yours then? i am only doing my own little bit for our livelihood, which unbelievably is bloody hard for just my husband to keep going, soif you think this is all funny, cynical etc. then to hell with you.

Sorry missed this one. Hey dont get upset with me please, no I dont live your life or understand it perhaps but as stated that is nature IMO. Hunting with hounds is cruel and not part of nature.
I do however absolutely care about people and animals and do not mean to disrespect the care you take over your stock I can assure you.

One minute we were fine and then boom. If this is because I left the alternative SAVE ME page after joining I will join again and get the numbers back to double figures if it helps?
 
The problem with joining a pro-hunting campaign on something like facebook which links your full identity to you as a hunt supporter is that where traditionally pro-hunters demonstrate their choice peacefully and leave the antis alone, it is well known for antis to locate pro hunt supporters and if they can work out their identity do nasty things and in rare cases deface and damage property.

I am saying this from an experience a friend had when selling a young horse and stating in the advert that it would make a nice hunter. The friend had never been hunting, neither had the horse and I am not sure whether she is anti or pro. However because of the marketing comment in the advert she received some rather nasty phone calls - her number of course being on the advert.

I know what you mean. The pro's on fb send us death threats all the time.
 
I have been reading this forum for years even though I don't post regularly and I think Scratchline that you are the one of the most aggressive posters I have ever seen on here.

I know everyone has their opinion and debate is always good but perhaps you should take a chill pill and not come across as so nasty. I would have thought that even if you had some good arguments that might sway someone on the fence, your aggressive and nasty attitude is likely to send them in the other direction.

The more aggressive you continue to be over the hunting debate the more you back up the issues with antis being overly aggressive and nasty - the extremists wearing their balaclavas (something I have never seen a pro-hunter do) as they beat the hounds, horses and riders. (I am not saying that you would be included in that part)
 
Scratchline, i have no desire to fall out with you or anyone else,no need to back up the save me thread, hopefully the numbers will creep up gradually, if not, too bad. i do take things seriously, especially farming wise,if labour get in or lib.dems get in, cant do anything about that either-in fact its so in your face i'm totally p.......ed off with it all, roll on may7th!!

Well, accepted I do post in an aggresive manner sometimes. Its just how I post. I really am calm sat here so dont worry about me as its only a forum and nothing on here should be taken to heart, by anybody. Having been on some real headmess forums this is light and fluffy.
I am not here to convert anybody to be fair, I dont care really as we dont need any more than we have lol Sadly for some of you I know, hunting as was is finished and the sooner we can all move forward the better.

Im a farmers daughter 5th generation and im sick of the mainly city folk telling us how to run our farm, We have had our 1st ever TB breakdown and we have a closed herd and have lost over 25% of our cattle. So if our cows supposedly ave TB why do they have to be culled yet badgers who in our area defo have TB dont! Am I being thick?
KEEP THE BULL**** IN THE CITIES AND US COUNTRYFOLK WILL KEEP THE COW****!!!!!!!!

Sorry hun. Didn't mean to confuse. Was multi-tasking at the same time as being incredibly tired (bad move) We're not different ends of the spectrum, honestly. Just mildly amused that there was not comment on my honest question.

I have lived both ends of the spectrum - farm and city. I currently live somewhere in between - OH a city suit, living in the country, not farming but still very much involved with the country, city and all the issues in between. Now THAT should confuse you. ;D
 
Kiribati_uk, i sympathise with you big time, we haven't had your problems but are fully aware of the TB implications. this badger problem is even more contentious than the this hunting issue- do i presume you are in Pembrokeshire or is the problem more widespread? this culling of cattle who have a reactor is dreadful, why cannot Defra test once and for all for definite TB in a beast before the poor thing is culled- bloody madness!!
