The 'Anky' saddlepad features the very latest in innovative materials. The exterior is a tactile suede...

Retailer: Classic Dressage

I wouldn't have thought anyone would want to buy anything with her name on it.

My gosh. OP it has built in spikes for extra discomfort and a chain to choke your horse with when it isn't going the way you want it too. It can also hold your reins for you as to keep your horse in rollkur (sarcasm). Seriously Anky isn't a demon sent from hell and it's a saddle pad. A *****ing good saddle pad.

It's really very nice and not built for world domination as you might have thought

No I agree, I wouldn't want to use an Anky brand product because I abhor the way she trains her animals, I wouldn't use a Parelli brand item for the very same reason, two sides of the same coin.

Deeeemon saddle paaaad! Ooooh scary! It will posses you and make you start riding with your hands at a certain angle making your horse work behind the vertical as per rollkur! Ooooooh!

team barney - the OP is a Pat Parelli follower though :p :)

Personally I agree with the other comments; its a brilliant saddle pad and just because its branded by someone of whom we don't all necessarily approve of doesn't make it any less decent as a product nor does it mean we seek to emulate them. Whilst its all very well attempting to take a moral upper ground by not purchasing this clearly branded item for that reason, the chances are you may purchase an alternative product with an unseen issue; eg. made in a less economically developed country using workers who are paid a pittance, the only difference being you would not know about it! This may also be the case with the anky line of course, my point is simply everything is not black and white.

Personally I think they are brilliant saddle pads I have the jumping style one and its amazing :) wicks away any sweat brilliantly from my mare, sits well under the saddle and washes well, highly delighted with it :).

I love them & will be getting my mits on one along with matching bandages when I have some spare cash. My friend has a pad in a lovely pea green colour & looks lovely, fab quality & lasted very well!

Does it really matter whose name is on it? It's the product that matters, and its quality etc, not the person who made/designed it whatever. It's not like people are going to think you're like her just 'cause you have an Anky saddlecloth, its just a name!
