can be found over the counter with the pharmacist, I bought Lotil cream yesterday, really cheap and amazing, a real improvement in less than 24 hours

My method is a pair of thin cotton pimple gloves underneath a large pair of thickish black rubber gloves.

also something called 'Snowfire' available at chemist for about £1.99 parrafin stick! Brilliant!

I have suffered from cracked, sore and bleeding knuckles for years and it gets much worse as soon as the weather turns cold. I have finally found the solution though. It is called Lion Ointment and it's wonderful stuff. Nothing else has ever worked for me including all the steroid creams etc prescribed by my GP. I thought Lion Ointment was so good that I decided to stock it in my shop. Obviously, I can't tell you about it as it would be advertising but if you google boxtreegallery you will find it. I'm not just posting this to try and sell it though- it really does work and is our best-selling ointment.

I have used lotil for years - excellent stuff for cracked hands, but my old cat used to go nuts when she smelt it.

Oh I wanted to try that but couldn't find it in Boots. Never thought of asking at the pharmacy counter

I bought a tube of Lotil a few months ago... I can't stand the smell of it though!

I won't be buying any again...but my hands are only slightly dry.
