I am always amazed when I read about people as to what they have genuinely done particularly in different spheres or different parts of their lives.
For a potentially embarassing situation very nicely handled by an extremely talented rider read this:
Years ago (mid 1980s) I was jumping a Newcomers class at a show and got talking to the lady standing next to me whilst waiting for the jump off. No idea how it came up in conversation but I asked if she evented. She replied "not with this horse".
So who was she (as I found out when she went into the ring) ....yes, only Olympic gold medallist Mary Gordon Watson.
The opposite I think of overplaying your talents!
