Well a mixed day at combined training - did a nice dressage test n27 got 63.5% and won the dressage section but went into the jumping phase and got 7 out of the 9 fences down! It was strange he felt nice and forward and no problem to ride but just kept 'touching' the poles - when i watched the video back they were tiny touches but so frustrating - hey ho at least he did well at dressage - think ill be needing some jumping lessons pronto!

well done for dressage!

Well done on the dressage! Shame about the jumping, but I'm sure it's easily sorted. There are many more experienced than me to offer advice, but I would guess that high cross-poles or v-poles would probably do the trick.

I was actually last to go in that class. I didn't get to see you (or anyone else) go, as I was rushing round trying to get ready! In fact, if you saw my sj round you might well decide not to take any notice of my advice. It was clear but very undidy; we stood off a few and I did my usual trick of jumping a couple of fences with only one pedal!
