The best £3.00 I have spent

Have been really struggling with my boys moulting, so have bought my self and shedding blade.

You all probably have one, but I have stuck with the normal rubber curry combs etc.

For just £3.00 it has already paid for itself, the hair is coming away much better, although it is exposing bald spots, so any handy hints on how to get the hair to grow back gratefully recieved.

However, last night I was late back and it had rained before I had time to get his no fill LW on, so I used the sweat scarpper side, and it brought him up nearly completly dry so I was able to get his rug on.

A wonderfull tool, and just wanted to share

I got my shedding blade for free after the previous person who had my field stupidly left one lying in the long grass. I found it when Daisy cut her lips on it.

I'd never seen how they were that much better than a plastic curry comb but I wouldn't be without one now. Makes a huge difference to Lil's coat.

Ooh, I agree! They are great and I only bought myself one this winter- mare has already stood on it though so rather misshapen

I'd like to add- my best buy? A nosebag! One of my mares is really stupid when she eats, steps in the bucket, scatters expensive feed everywhere and I'm pretty sure that the nosebag has paid for itself several times over at this stage- no more soggy muddy feed that she won't touch hurrah!

It has also helped other skinny mare get over her head-shyness! Hmm...food must go over ears....

I use one of those jelly glove things. We call it the welly (not sure why) and that does the job on our lads (who are clipped) perfectly. another good £3 well spent

I agree they are the best things ever!!!

I did have one but it was rested on the wall and my horse pushed it over onto the muck heap which then got removed before I knew!!! Must get another one.

I bought mine last spring, and have been wondering how I ever lived without it lol

Another fan - nothing gets loose hair away like it! I even use it on the dog.

My other best buy (not cheap though for what it is at £10) is my haybag. I must have saved hours not having to struggle with haynets on freezing dark mornings last winter. It's getting a bit bedraggled now, so I'm going to make a few for next winter out of an old gazebo cover I've put away for the purpose.
