I am doing a huge amount of clipping this season and i just wondered if anyone has any tips as to what they wear, particularly on their top half, to clip.
I currently wear an old coat but find i get really hot in it but obviously dont want to just do it in a sweatshirt.
Any tips?

a bin bag? tied at the neck, wrist and ankles to stop the hair inevitably working its way into your underwear lol

seriously though, most things are ok, just avoid fleece.

Wear smooth fabrics so that the hair doesn't stick to it so NO fleeces.

I wear a cotton boiler suit that I do up to the neck to try and stop hair going down my bra!

I used to use a bloke's navy coloured overall and a bodywarmer underneath as the hair didn't stick to it (it was a Puffa) and I did the neck up so the hair didn't go down my neck! Also had my hair tied back. And usually wellies on feet (rubber!). Have fun.

Agree with the boiler suit. I have one that I bought for dentistry. You can get them pretty cheap from Countrywide. I got the mens one for about £15 I think, as the womens was more expensive.

I Have tried alsorts over the years to stop getting hair in all my underwear and feeling itchy for ages after and the best thing I have ever found is those white disposable paper overall things with zips and hoods on. The hair seems to be repelled by them and can even wear the clothes I have clipped in the day after which has been impossible before. I used to wear cotton overalls with elastic bands over wrists and ankles but the hair still got in!!

I've done everything from boiler suits to shiny coats, and think there is nothing that properly works! Now I have an outfit that I don't really like anymore - old jods and t shirt, and knickers, bra and scruchy! I wear this and a thin cagoule-type coat, then go and have a shower asap afterwards! The "clipping outfit" gets washed on its own, and lives in a carrier bag in the bottom of the wardrobe!

I second the overalls but try and get hold of nylon ones if you can the hair doesn't stick at all thay are much better than the cotton ones. I wear latex gloves and tape them to the wrist of my overalls too! I hate being itchy! x

I wear a thermal suit (nylon type fabric) that has strapping on wrists and ankles, hat with all hair tucked, mens cheap work gloves. I hate when the hairs get on my face baaah!
