The big bay Beastie returns.

Well, after browsing through all old photos feeling all nostalgic last night, I decided today, that the big fat bay can return to work. I've not rode him since Xmas pretty much, then had a lady riding him for the first few months as I had no time, but then that ended about May time, so I gave him the summer off turned away with the cob babies. I have done sweet sod all with him, so he is a fat lump [as much of a fat lump a TB can be anyway!] with no muscle to speak of, bless him.

So, today, I grabbed him in....only to find he had choke -_- Only my horse, can get choke whilst out in a grass field! But anywho. He was fine and it passed quickly. So spruced him up and gave him a good bath, got his feet trimmed, stuck a wormer down him and spent the afternoon chilling with him, and generally just terrorising every grass verge we could find!

So as from tomorrow, he shall start coming back into work. He is feeling very well and full of himself! Took him for a trot after his bath and hit bounce mode...silly idiot thought he was 3 again. Looots of fittening hacking to commence! I shall make some time to ride him again, even if it's 8pm in the evenings!

He is a big boy isnt he! Am sure he will slim away once he gets going again. How old is he?

He looks lovely, nice face hope you have a lot of fun on him. The cooler weather is much nicer to ride in and hopefully less of the pesky flies around too.

Nope same old Bustie!

He's a poor doer over winter, grass is the best thing that keeps weight on him...so I let him have the summer to get as much 'reserves' as he can manage!
