.. Is the people they attract!

I have no problem at the moment, but have in the past. And upon reading other threads it seems it's always the humans causing problems, rarely is it the horse :(

One of the local vets here wont deal with horses anymore despite happily treating large farm animals. I often wonder if it was the owners rather than the horses that led to that decision!

My farrier was due on Friday morning but couldn't get off his drive so rang to explain he couldn't make it. Yesterday morning he rang to say weather had improved near him so he would come over if weather OK our side :D

When he was shoeing my girl he said he rang all his Friday clients early to explain he couldn't make it and one of them went ballistic

Wonder if she'll be looking for a new farrier?

When I met my hubby (we were 15) and his dad found out I was a horse lover the first judgement was that I would be a b****

What does that tell you about general public perception?

Yep. The track upto the farm is very steep, not in good condition (I walk up it rather than drive!) and is covered in trees both sides.I Was supposed to be having haylage delivered one day over weekend providing not too much snow. The same idiot who got his car stuck at the beginning of Dec as it was icy (takes ages to thaw as constantly in shade) threw a right hizzy fit saying that he had promised, he's gone back on his word etc when we've had several inches of snow which is now compacted from people walking and sledging on it so the lane is like an ice rink and is now lethal just walking it so how does he expect a tractor pulling 8 large haylage bales to get up it!!

Same guy who we have daily problems with to ensure he looks after and feed his horse everyday....

I read the title and had already got my answer "people" before i opened it
My fave one of all time was the year folk were filling water containers and dragging them across a snow covered yard and then complaining that the horses cannot go out because the yard is too icy and now they want to sue the yard owner and are going to withhold part payment as the horses cannot go out !

Then at the same yard they insisted that horses went out and as they were fighting the ym spread a few bales of hay out and all hell broke loose - it was the most bizzare experiance i have ever witnessed - folk were grabbing at the "hay" chasing horses off it - so they could get as much for themselves as they could
