Sorry - not sure if this is a rant , maybe a vent?

I made it totally clear when first enquiring about a pony, that I am older/wimpy and will not consider anything that is going to pull me around..
Me on phone to seller - has he EVER bucked?
Seller: no he has NEVER bucked

Somewhat later - video clip sent to me, clearly shows a buck after a jump

Me by email to seller - thought you said he didn't buck?!
Seller to me: 'that wasn't a buck, just a little expression of joy'..plus a somewhat unnecessarily shirty comment about the type of horse I should be looking for.

I refrained from mentioning that the pony's breed society has him a year older than she is advertising(!)

And I'm fully expecting to see this hoss 'readvertised due to timewaster'!
yes, that would be me then....

Yeah I viewed two last week, neither advert was honest and I left saying thanks but not what I was looking for. Then they tried to sell something else at a stupidly high price! Wish people would be honest would save a lot of time!

When I lost my wonderful Clydie mare as I was just getting back into the saddle after breaking my ankle, I rang up about an Appy mare who looked just like one we'd had previously. I stressed that my priority was a horse which would stand at a mounting block for me to get on and off. 'Oh yes', said the seller, 'she does'. so sis and I went to view the mare (fortunately only about 30 mins away). The seller seemed surprised that I wanted to see the horse ridden before either of us got on it. In spite of the fact that there was a large stone available to use as a mounting-block, she took the mare into a field round the back of the building. When we caught up with her, she was hopping round in circles, one foot in the stirrup, saying 'No, you're not going back to the gate'. Not surprisingly, I thanked her very much and said we wouldn't take any more of her time. I'd also said I needed the horse to be good in traffic and to hack alone, again she said the horse would be suitable but she had her daughter and pony waiting to accompany the horse onto the road.
I refuse to travel more than 50 miles, at the most, nowadays to view a horse, having been to look at so many which were mis-described.
