Could not believe Blue today! i only ride him once a week round the block (walk him out all over the place in between so he is deffo not unfit) as he is getting on and i feel to heavy to do more (he is 14hh and i am 5 ft 7 and 10 1/2 stone)

Anyway we came to this common and i decided to have a tiny trot but as soon as i sat up to push him on he tossed his head and shot off!! it was amazing!!!!! :):o but i very quickly pulled him up as i am so paranoid about hurting him :o

Really has insired me to loose weight so i can have the odd little canter :)

Anyone elses horses full of the joys of spring ? (or what spring we've had! :D)

Well i've still got 1.5 stone to go on my diet to get level with you!!!

But my 16hh beast carries me with ease, i'm worried if I get too light he wont notice me lol :p:rolleyes:

My mare is 14.1 and Im about 10 1/2 stone I think, she bloody well shifts with me on top when SHE wants to !! :D
Im sure he can carry you just fine.

This is me @ 11 stone 1 month ago and a V casual pic in the fields :)

 Isn't he adorable? :D

I was expecting a flimsy weedy show pony or something, if I were you I'd get on and start a proper fittening programme, far better for them to be in consistent, low level work. You look just fine on him!

Sounds good, can never have too many pics of a cutie like that! Just build it up slowly, far better to ride several times a week for short periods and then work from there. Sometimes the worst thing to do for oldies is to retire them - if they are happy, kick on! :)
