Well both my boys are now back in "light" work after having the winter off so i thought i would show you how songs knee is progressing and how well gogs is behaving!!

So songs knee now is has gone from dressings every 3 days with alovera and a knee sock on, then he had a dressing on the front and nothing on the back so softban and the vet wrap then he went on to dressings every 3 days with softban and tubi grip, to dressings and tubi grip then just tubi grip and now just tubi grip for tunout!!

Well i sat on him for the 1st time since mount ballan last weekend and he was a little star, last year before riding after even a short break (3+ days) i would have to lunge him before getting on but, i lent over him in the stable and walked him around then took him on the yard and then ventured in to songs little turnout field and he was fab didn't put a foot working bless him!! im so pleased with how he has turned out!!

So here he is!!

Fantastic! Knee looks to be healing well and Song looks quite good after boxrest. Onwards and upwards!

Here's to healing horses and successful comebacks from injury!!!!

Naxox is awsome but hes even stronger than gogs and is nick namded the ox as he has no respect for anyone apart from himself not even me so its quite fun taking him racing!! Lol but J i think if you saw hinton thundrer bolt in the flesh you would fall in love hes by primitive ring and such a gental giant!!

I think you may call be stupid and tims not brave tom!! But serioursly schooling over fences is the most awsome thing in the world so much better than XC and as to plans this year think song will be back mid april at either nov or PN depends how well hes going XC at home and then hopfully a * to finish the season maybe hartputy is all goes well and then gogs will bsja until hes sane and do lots of dressage and do a few more intros and pos a PN at the end of the season but just want to be in control!! and thank you about sogs knee its been so time consuming at times and even the vet said i have done a good job so am very pleased!!

And yes FA i love my job too the only thing and my horses keeping me from going to oz!!

How is Song's knee now then. I can't believe it took 16 weeks box rest to get him right again. Poor boy. Did he behave himself OK??

Sounds like you have a lovely job. Am quite green!!!

Sorry - I only worked your captions out the second time of looking!!!

It still looks a little bit raw - how will you protect it when he starts eventing again. It it OK to get mud on it?

Best of luck for coming season!
