Ok, so perhaps putting a 2 year old and a playful 8 year old in together was just asking for trouble but I thought it would be nice for old Ellie to be in a paddock by herself without Blue pestering her to play and the boys could have fun together.
What fun they had!
Two lots of electric fencing gone, the two of them haring around like nutters in the next field and they have also snapped of several wooden posts at ground level
Blue can be a grumpy sod with other horses and has decided he doesn't like his new next door stable neighbour to the extent that I caught them both bums to each other double barreling the partition last night
Blue is now swapping stables with Chad so Blue is next to Ellie.
Despite Ellies advanced years she is also getting drawn into the boys' mischief. She was kicking the stable door this morning, something she has never done but the boys do regularly, and whinnying her head off. I put her in the field and she was galloping around like a lunatic, winding the boys up.
I think the YO will be secretly pleased when we move back to our own field in spring, she will be glad to see the back of the fence breaking, stable kicking, field churning louts!
I love them all to bits though, they do make me laugh!
