Has any one use one of these products ?

Idolo Tether Tie

The Clip

They both look interesting and wont break the bank. I like the idea of the clip and it seems easy to use.

Thoughts please. Worth watching the videos on both products.
 
arriving to milk my vets goats many years ago, and finding one had been chewing the spring clip that was used to hold a door open for them, resulting in the clip activating whilst in his mouth, it had pierced his cheek high up so he was attached to the clip has put me off spring clips around any animal. last yr my friends haflinger rubbed his face on the clip system holding a door net up-he managed to pierce his nose and was just stood there, he must have been there ages as all the blood was dry.

so i would go for the idolo tie out of these two
 
The clip looks quite restrictive as to what you can use with it and the way in which it can be used. I have a tether tie - which can be used with any type of rope and in several different combinations. But to be honest I'm still not sure it was worth the money. There are cheaper ways to teach a horse to tie safely.

Its for extra added safety he already ties up without an issue however if he gets startled he panics and tries to pull loose. I don't like using baler twine.

I do like the look of the tether tie how do you find it Shay ?
 
My friend has the tether tie (bought at YHL :D)for her horse that doesnt tie up well... he just leans back and pulls on the string until it breaks then he wanders off! He has not once attempted it since using this so I rate it as BRILLIANT! :D There are lots of ways to put the rope on to make it easier or harder to pull the rope through IYCWIM? :D
 
Neither = both look like they could cause an accident; especially if you inadvertently use the wrong setting on the clip.

I am an Equiping fan - TB used to pull back all the time; with the Equiping, it's no fun at all so he doesn't do it anymore.

He also pseudo-panicked i.e. he pulled back; when couldn't get free he pulled until he was free, then just stood there looking smug....
