always seem to get stuck! I have no nails either so it's quite annoying! You know when they get stuck in and don't clip into place, securing the strap into place on the rug?! Is it just me this happens to? Just curious if anyone's found a way of stopping this or can think of a way?

Yep, I take them off the rug and put a fillet string on instead :).

I dislike leg straps after seeing a little Connie getting caught up in them.

I do normally do this actually but for some reason have kept the leg straps on this particular WB rug! Although after what you've said about the pony getting injured, I will order some tonight! That's why I like horseware rugs,it's done for you!!

Same! Ours are professional self harmers so I prefer to spoil their fun and remove any potential opportunities!

Been thinking and does anyone else take off the leg straps on weatherbeeta rugs? Never tried it with them, just wondering what their stickability's like with a fillet string? My boys are quite lively and the tb is the one with the horseware rugs so I know these stay put but I suppose they're designed with the fillet string so are meant to! Just don't want it flying up over his bum in the wind!

None of ours have leg straps and despite our mare's best efforts they have yet to wear one as a scarf so I reckon you'd be fine.

I always remove them as leg straps and turn them into a fillet string type instead, I just don't find them safe - have found a friends horse laying down still one morning, whilst all the other horses were up feeding, and the poor chap could not get up, as his legs were all caught up in them.

Depends on the size of the horse really, it works well on my 16.1 TB but Motor, who is only 14.3 I have to tie a knot in it ..... but I now use a shorter one, from a Fly Rug, as not needed any more

My boys 17hh and very chunky so yeah it probably would be okay, thankyou lots for your help!!
