What is it?

A whiteboard (previously blackboard) attached to some central point in a DIY/Livery yard, originally to communicate useful information....but gradually develops as a subtle tool for YO to bitch (and sometimes liveries) with messages like
'The school is NOT deep....if liveries would ride evenly over it, there would be no problem'

where people write nasty comments rather than actually speak to people

our yard has a chalk board for notices or to ask the YO something such as when vets are coming or dentists etc

sometimes people use this rather than speak to other people

Whenever I'm moving yards (cos I've moved home) then I try to have a sneak read at their whiteboard as it tells you what the atmosphere is like.

We have one and generally speaking its full of happy friendly messages - so I'm thinking myself lucky at the mo!

I think they are a bad idea, a note book is better as it is not broadcast to everyone. I was at one yard where you had to book your slot in the school and this got v. bit*hy too.

I change the name of the one on my old yard to 'Bitch'in Board'

There were always rude messages and sarky comments left on it!
