ok i give up i have tried to make head or tail on the horse box rules

what age to do have to have these type mirrors, exhaust system,

i am trying to replace a chasis to a newer 7.5, trying to work out is it best to get a 1999 yr on then i don't have to work out the rule change for 2001 or get a 2002 one which i guess should be ok in the new rules

so if any lovely person could actually give me the rules in englsih or a suggestion what the best one to go for please feel free

Its 1998 not 1999 for the mirror rules

Bascially in most cases its just two new mirrors which cost me £50 (buy a DAF)

From Oct 2001 7.5t lorries became limited to 56mph, which may be painful on a motorway, but do you really need to go faast with precious cargo on board?

I went for the youngest chassis I could find and got an auto too... finding one with air con is hens teeth!!!

I just checked the direct.gov.uk web site and it said 7.5 ton and under speed limit on motorway was 60mph??

m also interested as looking to get a lorry up top 7.5 ton and wondering about all these things.

I will be looking at older than 1998 so mirrors not a prob.
