The denial and broken excuses of the pitbull crowd

Very interesting read. I have had a couple of JRT's and a Patterdale. When all the bad press about the bull type breeds blew up I said to my husband, imagine if the JR's or the Patty (all real mean killing machines in their own way) had been the size of a Bully. We both shuddered at the horrific thought of how that might have worked out when one JRT nipped my adult son on the face when he lent over to cuddle him while the dog was sleeping. The Patterdale did actually kill cats and had a neighbours lovely collie upside down dragging at it's throat and that was horrific, again, what if it had been bully size?

when you see pit bulls working wild boar you realise just how hard headed and strong they need to be. Luckily I think its very rare for anyone to buy a whippet and not know they might have awful recall, they might kill things and they might not be able to live with a cat. The other side of the coin is almost all of them are incredibly sensitive and gentle dogs with people and other dogs. But even if they went rogue they'd struggle to kill someone before they were fought off.
