Rarely do I post happenings in my life as although its fairly interesting to me, to most its probably pretty boring, until today that is...

It started this morning with a call to say my 86yr old Nan was unwell, went straight there to find her very unwell so called an ambulance. Needless to say the sight of two young ambulance men made her feel a bit better. Scare over.

My OH sets off to Pinewood studios as the kids are in a scene on Les Miserables film set... exciting for them, not me as I have to take a friend to St Albans.
I drop my friend off outside Natwest in St Albans and go to turn the car around. Security van outside the Halifax is being robbed by gang in a stolen car who hit another car, a pedestrian and leave one of their gang members to leg it. He is then brought down by some pretty brave shoppers who pin him to the ground while unmarked police cars set off in pursuit of the stolen car. My friend comes out of her bank oblivious to whats just happened.

Meanwhile (here comes the horsey bit). My kids are spending the day with Gerard Nuprous and horses from the Devils Horsemen on the set of Les Mis. Unfortunately for my daughter who has always maintained that she will work for The Devils Horsemen one day, didn't realise that that was who she spent the day with until she got home and explained he had a funny French accent!!!
To top it all off I go to buy the local paper as they wanted to do an article on the kids filming and there's a photo of my son on the front page with Jude Law. Please don't think anything other than today I actually feel quite proud and pleased Im not with the Halifax!!

Just how will tomorrow top that?! May as well shoot yourself now, days as bizarre as that are once in a lifetime :p

Make my day look very dull. The most interesting thing to happen to me was to notice my landy's exhaust is hanging off :/

I'd prefer a landy with no exhaust - been driving my nan's rev and go Micra - rollerskate comes to mind

That's a heck of a lot of excitement to pack into one day - and so good to hear that it ended much better than it started!

Sounds like your whole day could be made into a movie ! The Devils horsemen are not far from me and they quite often hold displays and they're good fun to watch, might be worth taking you daughter as they do sometimes get audience members up.

Yes they are not far from me either and we had intended to take kids to the christmas panto. Maybe get there in the summer.

Never again will I moan about traffic wardens as we begged one to let me park my nan's little car in a layby bit. He said NO - Move on. So I went to turn around and saw that the car that was hit was in the exact same spot I was in less than 2 minutes before. Apparently the Met Police had a tip off and it was their cars in hot pursuit (wondered how they were there so quick).

Oh my nan is alot better today but still not out of bed.
