Just happened to turn this on Sky3 and the dog they're working with has a half check collar on but then the lead attached is also attached to its tail? Anyone know the reason?
Think I saw thius episode a while ago. Is this the one where he wanted the dog to feel assertive and keep his tail up no matter what he was confronted with?
I love what he does but some of his ideas are a little strange, and I noticed recently that a lot of the bigger dogs he's working with have those horrible collars on. Not sure if they're whats known as prong collars but they stick in when they tighten up. Not liking that at all
Thats the episode with the vizla, poor thing is terrified of everything so he hold his tail up to mimic confident body language - it actually made a big difference to the dog.
I think he works with whatever is the normal collar for the dog, so if the owner uses a pinch collar thats what he works with. Personally i'd rather see a correctly used pinch collar than an incorrectly used choke chain which is capable of far more damage yet is readily available to all and sundry!
