The dreaded 'S' in Wirral

Strangles is in the Wirral area yet again. Just want everyone in the area or anyone bringing their horse to the area to be aware. It is on a livery yard and no horses are allowed to enter or leave the yard.

4 confirmed cases, everything is being dont to contain it.

Fingeres crossed the horses recover soon. My heart goes out to the owners, such a horrible thing

Indeed - I am due to visit the Wirral tomorrow and Sunday and was going to visit 2 yards - one to meet with a member on here and one that has a big feed store and tack place to have a "nosey" round the shop ..... deff dont want to go to either of them if there is a chance of "picking anything up" and brining it back home with me inadvertantly - can you PM me and let me know where about the yard is please?

Oh no! That's awful after all that fuss last year as well.

Hopefully it has been caught early this time and it sounds as though everyone is doing the right thing. Will this affect your competing with Baron then? I take it Haddon etc will be off?
