I've been putting off updating for a while now but meh, the worst that can happen is a few numpties pick it.
:D

Well, firstly Kao.
He now canters around the school without breaking to trot, haven't mastered going on the bit yet but he's doing well in his trot and walk and picking up a lot more instead of dragging his feet along the floor.
We've been hacking a lot more and the other day he proved himself I think. Umbrellas, wind, screaming children everywhere and cars going rather swiftly down the road were all about and the others stopped dead, so he had to be the lead horse.
Well, he trotted past in an orderly fashion and only spooked at a branch, so all in all, pretty darn good.
We lunged today for the second time ever for him, and the first for him in a bit. (I call it a doppellonge after the video I watched and it kind of stuck :D but I'm pretty sure it's just a roller with two lines instead of one.) He was more than exceptional, apart from a few "wtf" moments he got the hang of it very quickly and went really well.
I do have a video, which I'll add shortly.
He also had a full clip (done by Mother) yesterday and again, came out with success. The dope worked (Sedeline didn't even touch the sides so we had the vet sent us a new one for Kao and Stan, 3ml under the tongue and that's it.) and we can start working for longer without worrying about drying him off. He looks a lot better, but I never knew how tiny his legs were till the hair came off!
I've got a video of clipping him too and will stick it up on here soon.
Here's him before:

and Molly, Mum's 14.3hh 20 year old mare has been making progress with her jumping.
She had an awkward position over the fences, where she'd jump either really flat or almost jump down rather than lift her self.
Well, Mum was happy, Molly was happy, and then she decided to put her on Cortaflex. Now, up until this point she hasn't actually had any supplements to help with performance (only the usual, oil and something else I can't remember) but it was a spur of the moment thing. So, a month later we're starting to see the effects.
Height isn't impressive but her technique has improved heaps. She lifts herself now and has quite a lot of scope. Being in charge of the jumps when Mum schools if I'm told to put it up 1 hole, I'll put it up 3.
She was schooling just over 3ft (big for her :)) and did even notice it. So something must be going right!
She rarely jumps at home but I've noticed it in her flatwork too.
Here's a video of her half way through being on the Cortaflex:

and the newest video is coming tonight.
Can you tell I've been behind on my videos? :D

They're the two horses me and Mum are focusing on at the moment (well, Kao is always going to be focus point for me. But It's nice to give Moomin a mention too :D)
Hammie, hopefully, will be getting abit more work put into him over the Winter after he's clipped (he sweats awfully even when he's grazing and it's mild, let alone when he's being ridden).

Ilex is also still up for loan. Que the numpty callers looking for a horse the complete oposite. Or even better, perfect homes that never call back :/

Well, all in all, especially with Kao I think we've made a lot of progress! :D I'm definitely giving Hunting a try and going hacking a lot more. Though, trust me to pick the time of year when the roads ice up, it's pitch black at 4.30pm and the ground is rock hard
