Three days running my horse has escaped from his resticted grazing paddock into the paddock of lush grass..

The first two times he just pulled the elctric poles up and barged through the tape, so today i turned the fence on.... he jumped it

Any ideas to stop him? The fence is reasonably high, about 3"0- he's just intent on getting that grass now....

Do you think if i turned him out at night instead of the day he might not escape in the dark?! haha im desperate to keep him thin!

Sugestions please :D

Its the tallest electric fencing i can find, and the field is on a massive hill, hes having to clear quite a big height to get in there! :D

Tie poles together to make higher ones. That what we used to do with Little Lad, but he did get out of a pen made of five foot high poles, five strands of electric tape, with it also criss-crossed between the poles.... so Good Luck!

I have found the only thing to work is to have a second line of tape about a metre away from the first one. Never known it fail as it seems to make it hard for them to judge to jump.
