Doesn't look good, does it?
I'll hate to be proved right, have said all along they'd dribble out another case just before the lifting of restrictions and keep the whole thing ticking along until after Christmas at least!
Poor farmer, a nightmare for them.

However...(!) in the previous cases if they are really worried that the animals may be infected they were slaughtered immediately. They haven't killed these sheep yet so I think its just a precaution.

No need to panic!!!

My mother is paranoid, she's convinced that seeing as the ban didn't work that the government would try and kill hunting another way....

Hope for the farmers sake its a false alarm.

Hmm, I'm convinced they are despite Browns 'Love of all things rural'.

Anyone see the whole UHT vs Fresh milk on the news yesterday?

I'd agree with that SSM!

I'm also paranoid, I think it's their way of payback for those amounts given before, after all, until this F & M, not a lot had really changed - well it had but hunts are still operating which is what they wanted stopped.

Well I've got the morning off work tomorrow to go cubbing and then the day off on Friday to go cubbing again and then spend the rest of the day watching a friend at Aldon. Perhaps I should take Thursday morning off too just in case they shut us all down again and stop us hunting!!

What's happening about everyone's opening meets?

The government wants to get rid of fresh milk and all of the dairy farmers and replacing it with UHT to cut refrigeration due to global warming. Don't know about you but I use my fridge for more than just milk!

Madness! What will they think of next??
Can someone tell my husband that the milk goes in the fridge because he has a great knack of leaving it on the work top after he's made himself a drink...

So where do you think the milk will come from? I'm sure fresh milk is used to make UHT.

"My mother is paranoid, she's convinced that seeing as the ban didn't work that the government would try and kill hunting another way...."
I can't really comment on that without insulting your Mum.

I think the refridgeration they are going on about it the transporting and storing of the milk, not your home fridges. I wouldn't think the idea would work anyway as the heating of the milk for UHT would cause as much polution as keeping it fresh.

It's just another scheme by this townie government to punish farmers.

How would this be punishing farmers?
Do you mean there would be less milk produced as less would go to waste?
