The first step!

Well, I did it! I made my first step towards getting back to being with horsies. I went to a local tack shop today and saw an advert for help needed with 2 elderly horses. I took the number and have just called.

I was shaking, I was nervous!

Anyhow, turns out the lady already has someone helping at the minute, but she'd contact me if it didn't work out. She also wanted help in the mornings, and being a teacher I said that probably wouldn't work out too well for me, but could do evenings and/or weekend.

She was really nice and made me feel at ease.

Ho hum, this didn't work out, but I'm sure something will.

It is hard to get away from the 'what are you doing?' thoughts that are going round my head.

Have had a call from the local Riding Club and Im going to be helping out at their next event, so hopefully I'll meet some local horsey people.
