HHO dog walk:-

Between my friend and I we have cooked very large dishes of cottage pie, lasagne and chicken and pasta plus apple and blackberry crumble. I have bought two boxes of wine and coke for the kids and we have loads of draw prizes

So, we are all set for tomorrow - except - the numbers are dropping like flies and I doubt very much if there will be anything like near the 25 people tomorrow.

One has sprained an ankle, one (who was bringing four others) has a cold, etc etc. Some are saying they are coming for the lunch and the raffle and some are saying they will only do one way (which is just 5 miles)

Will just wait with baited breath to see who turns up tomorrow - hope its not just me and my kids

How is everyone else getting along?

Provided the weather is nice OH and I are doing 14 miles, from Symmonds Yat to Kerne Bridge and back again, tomorrow.

Really looking forward to it, hoping the pub is still serving lunch by the time we arrive, and that we do it quicker than the 6 hours the internet predicts!!

If it's really grotty we will postpone until next weekend, although if it's grotty next weekend we will be doing it regardless!

Can I come to yours please

Evie and I and some friends are off tomorrow, 10+ miles over the Sandstone trail in Cheshire. At the moment it is raining and windy, and bloomin freezing. I really should think before I agree to mad ideas.

Shame people are dropping out RW. We may lose one person as her old dog was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and it is a case of day to day to see how she is (she wasn't planning on walking her but obviously doesn't want to leave her if she's not so good).
I think there were quite a few of us walking tomorrow, perhaps its time for roll call .

I won't be able to come now. My knee has regressed alarmingly over the last few weeks, and I saw the physio yesterday, he thinks that something else has gone wrong with it, and I should continue with normal life, which doesn't include 10 miles walks, might include an amble along a flat piece of tarmac if I'm lucky.

I'm sorry RW, I do hope the numbers come back up, and you all have a great walk.

I am keeping mine til the end of November, I am not back to work until next week so havent got much chance of getting any sponsors at the moment! Although I am very tempted to jump in the car and zoom down to Exmoor tomorrow just for your food, it sounds gorgeous

I think I might have to postpone mine for a few weeks

Hope people turn up R, especially since you have food!
