Hi everyone

Quick question - has anyone used/bought one of the Horse FURminators?

Pricey even on Amazon (£55) but if its as good as the blurb my 3 furry monsters (2 x NF, 1 x Arab/NF) could benefit

One is Forest bred and as a result has laid down a coat fit for the next Ice Age:eek: Even the Arab X has worked hard to grow suitable horse underware.

Any opinions will be welcomed. Many thanks in advance:D

Lincoln do one that is exactly the same but about £11 from robinsons I think it's called the ultimate groomer and it is amazing. An absolute godsend and even with the postage it's a quarter of the price.

How do people compare them to shedding blades? Have just found this thread and am very tempted as even my shedding blade is taking forever getting this coat out!

They are so much better than a shedding blade and as the hair stays on the comb part you don't get covered in hair. I got a bucket full of hair out of my two today with the furminator and had hardly any on me.

I bought a large dog sized one after reading a thread on here the other day. It is literally brilliant! I've done all my dogs and had a quick go at the horses too :D I'm really tempted to splash out on the horse size one, it really is that good.

I got one of the cheap versions on eBay and it is excellent. The dog sized one is plenty big enough and the cat sized one is ideal for carefully doing my fjord's forehead and feathers.

:D:D Guess what I've just ordered! Many thanks to all the helpful people with de-furred ponies I will be getting stuck in asap.

Thanks again for the help & suggestions will post a suitably sleek pic of the furry monsters!:D

The equine one is less than £10 on Hollywood shop. I just ordered two and the postage is only £2.95. They are excellent on shetties.

Don't get a horse one - they're ridiculously inflated prices! And don't get a Furminator, search eBay for Shedding tools.

I lost the one I had the last two years and had to get a new one which arrived today - from this shop? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/L-M-S-Dog...UK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs&var=&hash=item4d0a276e5c

and only £6.45. Slightly larger would be perfect, but even so this size worked well, my horse is now about half a stone lighter and the local birds all have amazingly fluffily lined nests :D

I have the cheap one and its great. However I've just got an Epona Shed Flower £6 ish and its BRILLIANT. Little plastic flower thing but its so easy to use and my ultra sensitive old girl didn't mind it at all.

this thread reminded me i have one of these in the depths of the pet drawer and am now completely covered in hair after attacking the dog (who is in full moult).

As like another poster I have stuffed a bird feeder full of super soft dog fur so their nests will be the snuggliest in the area!

hehehe just bought one too! will let you know how we get on tomoz, am so fed up with having to permanently keep my mouth shut when grooming!

I've got both the Lincoln one and the Furminator and they are different. The Lincoln is good but not as good as the Furminator.

I got the large dog furminator as it is half the price of the horse one, it is smaller but does the job.
