Evening all,

I'm thinking ahead to next year, and this will only be happening if Tris is in great health (will definitely be having a vet check before and after as I'm a worry wort), is truly, truly fit and we've conquered all bomb proofing 😬

I fancy taking a stab at the Great Dragon Ride. Has anyone done this?

It's ~300 miles from the North to the South of Wales.

Even if you haven't done this one, has anyone taken their horse for multi day rides? I'm already part of the saddle tramping fb group, but am always open to recommendations!
 
havent ever tried it, but i would love to! The BHS website has the full route mapped but I would recommend trying some local bridleways facebook groups for more updated info

If you need a stopover, i'm very close to the south end of it, and I believe Forest Green B&B is also just off the route near Presteigne
 
No doubt I'll post closer to the time, would definitely be up for other people joining us for all/part of the route 😄

@FitzyFitz, that would be fab 😄 when we're a bit closer, I'll start checking for stopovers along the route. To make life tricky, Tris doesn't do well on grass (low grade lami), so I'll need to find a stable or some kind of all weather/dry lot T/O if it's available for each stop.
