My horses have started rolling in the school as I lead them out to field every single one of them .
Fatty started it and taught all the others .
If they did not trash the school when loose I would leave it so they could get in .

Tragically I've moved to the Brighton area, I just never got round to changing my location! I think we are due some on Friday afternoon, fingers crossed, but unless it's torrential it won't do much good!

We've gone through hard into dusty desert. Bizarrely, the thick layer of dust is starting to make the going a lot softer in places - I actually cantered out hacking this morning. They roll in the dust too, so no issues with that.

Same here! Horse keeps coming in with snaggy cuts on his back which I can only assume is from rolling

I'd noticed a couple of little cuts on my mare that I thought might be horse fly bites got enlarged somehow. Maybe the horse flies are innocent and she's done it rolling. (We're also on clay, with cracks and a layer of dust on top.)

I can remember turning her out and hoping she didn't pull her shoes off or wreck the field. British weather is certainly diverse.
