It's exactly one week today since Tugg, OH's Border Terreir was PTS. :(

Despite being heavily against having another dog, OH has accepted that he needs another. A friend took one look at him yesterday and declared that a light had gone out in his life. She is so right.

So, on Saturday afternoon, we are off to view two pups. :D

I'm trying not to get too excited, but I'm having great difficulty containing myself. This emotional roller coaster of the past seven days is wearing me out, but as long as we have something positive on the horizon, I'm happy. :D

May I ask for a few of those famous HHO vibes for Satuday afternoon, please? Needless to say, I'll keep you informed.

Many thanks, in advance.

C :)

Vibes for you, I hope you find a new addition and that he/she brings you and your OH many years of joy just as Tugg did. :)

So pleased for you that OH feels ready for another little friend. Do you mind me asking, are the pups Borders?
{{{{vibes}}}} for both of you - good luck! :)

Vizslak - Thank you for your vibes. I'm sure they will be put to good use. :)

mollichop - No, I don't mind you asking at all. Yes, the two little lads are Borders. OH is a terrier man, through and through, having been bitten by the BT bug many years ago. :D Many thanks, also, for your vibes. :)

Hiya albtTinker...Sorry to hear about dear Tugg :((( ....they do take a BIG piece of your heart at their parting!
I am a Border terrier breed advisor please feel free to contact me for any advice/concerns about the propect of your potential new arrival - Sadly we have a lot of BT's coming into Border terrier Welfare due to sooooo many people breeding them, many of them with ASBO's due to poor rearing/socialising :(
so please be sure that you are obtaining a puppy from a breeder who is held in high regard i am more than happy to advise if the breeder is reputable.

BROCKFOX BORDERS - Thank you for your advice. Perhaps I should say that we are not UK-based. We are actually in Germany.

As far as we can ascertain, there does not appear to be a Border rescue/welfare group here, so finding another dog through these channels does not appear to be an option. We've also tried the local animal shelters, but they only have large dogs (Rotties, GSD's, Labs, etc). :(

We have contacted several breeders up and down the country, and most do not have a puppy available atm. If we were prepared to wait, we could put our names on waiting lists, but would have to wait possibly up to 18 months for the chance of a puppy. :(

We have been extremely lucky to find a breeder who's only about an hour away in the car, and that's where we're going on Saturday. :)

Once again, many thanks for your input, and I do hope you find poor little Pebbles soon. Our hearts go out to her owners.

blazingsaddles - you are right. A lost animal should never be replaced, so to speak. They are all individuals, just like us, and need to be treated as such. This will be a new dog, with his own personality and character, and if he's a lot different than Tugg, then so be it.

Ravenwood - It may well be that we do come home emptyhanded, as the wee ones won't be able to leave Mum until the end of the month. But at least we will have something to look forward to, and to prepare for, which can only be good for the both of us! :) But I do understand what you are getting at! lol:):)

slinkyunicorn - Thank you. No, no ideas on names yet. We might do the same as when Tugg arrived - looked at his pedigree, found one of his Grandfathers, Little Man Tug, and took it from there!:D

Once again, thank you, one and all.

Updates can be expected! ;):D
