Jeeeez is it just here (West Yorkshire) or has everyone had a none stop down pour for around 3days now?
i dont mind riding in the rain but this is Not rain :p
Rugs on rotation as mine lives out

So can someone do the rain dance to make it stop? :D

I have been caught in two hailstorms and got drenched twice this week, whilst riding! We have also got really high winds here. Sends my TB totally over the edge. :(

All mine are back in the all weather turnout and have been for three days now. The ten day forecast shows rain every day! Looks like it will be a couple of weeks at least until we can use the fields again. Got a mare due to foal and a litter of pups due in just under three weeks. So I wanted all the horses out. I'm so fed up!

Yep getting drowned in E. Yorks too. And we are still under drought warnings !

My lessons keep getting cancelled which is driving me nuts, got my own private duck pond in the field and a horse getting sillier and sillier with the wind thinking the ducks are to be played with

Yep here too. Got utterly soaked Tuesday night in a thunder/hail storm, not much fun on my not particularly road proof 6year old. Managed to catch 40 mins in mild drizzle last night, and today he has the day off but sharer has lesson on old boy, don't envy her!!
It's still a drought though!

Yes but it's making the ground much better! My boy has got DJD and so hard ground means lame horse for me.

I say let it rain...

Smallprint: ...only during work hours and overnight - must stay dry from 4pm - 10pm daily, and all daylight hours on weekends!

yer brought mine home for the summer last week and now shes is stuck in one bit and i only have one turn out rug. which she now has a stable rug underneith.
im a bit worried.

Yep it's been absolutely torrential here in s.lancs

Brought my two home and now can't ride as I only have fields and they resemble mud baths. Have to invest in an all weather before the winter I think

Don't normally rug pony when it rains, but he was soo unhappy have put a light weight on, he is so sick of it as well.

Another down side, put him on our lawn to eat that down, and now it resembles a quagmire :) OH is not happy, but it is helping his crops so , hey ho :D

Yes we do need the rain, but getting a bit fed up with no riding as by time I get home from work in the evening around 7pm the neds are so miserable and soaked they just want their dinner. :( (TBH so do I ;))

ahh so we're not the only one's then :o

i have looked at the met office and its the same all weekend grrrrreat!

on a brighter note we have grass shoots growing through

Got a tiny triple & an upright set up in simple figure for daughter in the field at the mo. The upright now has its own water tray & the triple resembles a water complex. On the bright side what is normally a shallow drainage channel we cross out hacking is now a rather fun to jump ditch.

We had hail, torrential rain, thunder & lightning too today, it was coming down so hard thought I was going to have to swim up the garden to the house from my workshop today!
When it died down but was still black skies all round, I took the dogs out for a walk, tremendous clap of thunder just as I was walking through the woods which seemed to eminate over London way, turns out that a bolt of lightning hit a substation in Wandsworth (about10-12 miles from me) and brought the tube trains to a complete standstill, bet it was chaos as it was about 5.40pm right in the rush hour, poor sods!

It's been pretty bad here! I hope it's clear for the weekend, I'm meant to be having my first show of the year on sunday. It was cancelled on Easter Monday :(
I'm sooo nervous, I just want to get the first one out the way!!

Plenty of rain here for days... But then it is Wales...:D My son's not a particularly fair weather rider but the incessant hail stones did send him and horse back to the yard...

No grass though because it's too darn cold... Bah humbug... :(
