As those of you who follow my posts know, we hit a bit of a rough patch recently with our jumping. After giving ourselves a fright at our first 90, getting eliminated then subsequently forgetting how to jump a X pole and retiring from an 80 a week later I have been working hard to re-kindle our love for jumping.
I think I can safely say that is firmly re-kindled after this weekend!
We jumped three rounds, first round indoor, second round outdoor then style jumping on grass... and quite honestly I don't think either one of us stopped smiling. He is just the best fun, after owning a backward thinking, slam the anchors on and ditch you at any given moment horse for 6 years he is just a breath of fresh air.
Admittedly speed cost us a few poles, 8 faults in the first round (his first time jumping indoors) and 8 faults in the second round. However he pulled it out the bag to jump a beautiful clear round in the style jumping, which to be fair did feel a little more in control, but he does always seem to jump better on grass, strangely!
And the bit you've all been waiting for... the photos!
Warm ups
Round 1
Round 2 (this was about 85)
'Style' (or not so stylish) jumping
For those of you interested here is a link to the video of all three rounds, I honestly don't feel as fast as we look haha.

And finally one of my favourite photos... King, me, my best friend and my mum... I could not do it without the support of these guys.
So now we have fixed the confidence crisis we now need to get back to it, and continue working to improve what we've got. And we head to Offchurch Bury this Saturday... I just hope we can manage to make it past the second fence this time!
