As those of you who follow my posts know, we hit a bit of a rough patch recently with our jumping. After giving ourselves a fright at our first 90, getting eliminated then subsequently forgetting how to jump a X pole and retiring from an 80 a week later I have been working hard to re-kindle our love for jumping.

I think I can safely say that is firmly re-kindled after this weekend!

We jumped three rounds, first round indoor, second round outdoor then style jumping on grass... and quite honestly I don't think either one of us stopped smiling. He is just the best fun, after owning a backward thinking, slam the anchors on and ditch you at any given moment horse for 6 years he is just a breath of fresh air.

Admittedly speed cost us a few poles, 8 faults in the first round (his first time jumping indoors) and 8 faults in the second round. However he pulled it out the bag to jump a beautiful clear round in the style jumping, which to be fair did feel a little more in control, but he does always seem to jump better on grass, strangely!

And the bit you've all been waiting for... the photos!

And finally one of my favourite photos... King, me, my best friend and my mum... I could not do it without the support of these guys.

So now we have fixed the confidence crisis we now need to get back to it, and continue working to improve what we've got. And we head to Offchurch Bury this Saturday... I just hope we can manage to make it past the second fence this time!

Saw your post in #twittrreventing. Well done :)

Thank you, Vallin.

Well done for mojo recaptured x x

Fiona

Going to try and keep hold of it a little while longer!

The outside was 3ft hun.... I measured my bum when I got home! Lol

You were fab. Pleasure to be on a team with you :) roll on Saturday

Hehe. They were getting quite big weren't they!

Always a pleasure, can't wait for Saturday... #CROWNiesgonesolo

Great pics, those last ones look huge!

Thanks Jenn, it's quite a nice feeling that stuff doesn't look as big as it used too. I feel so ready to step up to 90 now, but we just need to crack the nasties like big horrible corners...!

I love him he's just my sort and looks like great fun.

I'm also in the midst of regaining my jumping mojo but mine was quashed a good 7 years so it's been a long journey and having to find the right horse to help me!

I think I love him more every time. That picture of him trotting (think it's the 3rd one) is so beautiful. Well done :D
Was there an official photographer there? My friend went and I was hoping I might surprise her with a pic of her boy :)

Aww, this is lovely to read. Well done to both of you!

ps - random comment but you've got lovely, soft hands.

Some great pictures, glad you have got your mojo back, onwards and upwards!

Thank you - onwards and upwards indeed!

Exaclty this! Great to read this, well done.

Thank you :)

It's tough isn't it, but it has to be the right horse - even after riding King for over a year now there are still certain things that make me nervous, even though he is a completely different sort of horse to the last (naughty!) one, you never forget a few broken limbs!

He's just gorgeous. Congrats all round.

Thank you - he is rather isn't he??

There was no official photographer, no... so I am even more lucky that a lovely lady from the RC likes to take fabulous photos of us all!

Fab pics, you are a great pairing :)

Thank you, Crackerz :)

Aw thank you, I think that's maybe why King and I get along as he doesn't like anyone telling him what to do - haha!

He is just a wee gem!

Well done both of you :D

He certainly is, love him to bits!

Super pics, he's stunning

Thank you Sylv!

:)
