Hi there,

wanting to hire a new bit to trial for ben. Ive been looking online and am considering using THBS although the only contact method for them seems to be email... excuse the pun but im a 'bit' dubious of this, I like to be able to speak to a real person :D

Anyone have any experiences of them?

I've got one on trial off them at the moment. I rung twice - first time went to voicemail but 2nd time got through. The letter they send out with the bit has a system error where it says the full bit price is due if you keep the bit, not less the trial price already paid so rang to query and they confirmed it should be less the trial price already paid.

They were fairly quick to deliver and was a brand new bit i received. :)

Avoid

Use the horsebitbank.com instead

Some people have used the bit shop with no problems, in fact the first time I used them I had no problems to get the bit sent out but it went rapidly downhill after that

There's a few threads on here with people who've had similar problems

I found the bitshop excellent but got fobbed off about orders with bitbank and had to wait 4 weeks and chase them.

Hi there, nope I haven't tried hf, but I have heard about them, I will perhaps gove them a call first as they are local to me. Thank you

Have you tried Sue Nile, http://www.hfequestrianbitbank.co.uk/, she is local too.

Have you tried these guys?

www.hfequestrianbitbank.co.uk

Based in Redruth and a friend of mine was really pleased with how well they helped her.

Hmm well that didn't go too well. Apparently sue had just gone but she really needs to get a more polite person to answer her phone when she's not there!

Website says FREE TRIAL for 21 days

This woman says pay in full then it's sent to you for 3 weeks, then if you don't like it you can send it back and you get a refund minus £7.50

I said, 'but the website says free trial'

She snaps back 'yeah I know, speak to sue'

I said... No I think I will go somewhere else and put phone down. Grr

Oh no, what a shame! With my friend she came out, watched her ride, made suggestions and checked she was happy... the full works. Just goes to show how important customer service skills are across the board, however big or small your set-up...

Hi
Many apologies for the upset caused over this telephone conversation, it is certainly not our usual policy. Just to clarify the 'free trial' - there is a standard trial fee of £7.50 which is deducted from any refund if the bit is returned. The free trial operates if you accept a credit note or another bit as per The Conditions of Trial. Unfortunately we cannot give the bits out without payment for obvious reasons.

I having massive problems with the horse bit shop currently , no answer on phone or engaged constantly and no answer to any of my emails . ...... & I need to pay them so u think they would want my new card details ......
