The importance of wearing a correctly fitting helmet!

these are a brilliant series of phots - what a mupett of a rider, especially at that level of competition.

Also as well as the hat being well fitting it's also important to do it up!!!
a lady on my yard didn't do hers up one day for some reason (she doesn't know why as she normally does), as soon as she got on her mare exploded (long story, not normal for this horse) and she came off on the concrete but her helmet went flying off before she hit the ground. Massive concussion and long lasting problems. She's ok now but only because she was incredibly lucky.
A helmet does no good if it's not secured!
