Well I have spent most of the morning on foot getting hot and sweaty trying to herd an unwilling, unhandled yearling colt back towards it's field to get it off the road!!!! It is a farmers that escaped and came trotting merrily down the road this morning...much to my horses amusement who went over to have a good old nose and sniff (hope it does not have anything nasty)

Of course...silly me went to get a head collar hahahahaha! Fat chance of getting near it! It only got delivered yesterday and clearly came from dubious background judging from the look of it. Farmer was very grateful for the help as he was in the middle of lambing when I called for back up due to getting no where fast on my own!

Anyway it is back in it's field...not sure it will stay there but I can do no more! It has been put in with 3 established mares, so my guess is it got fed up of being harrassed and chashed and jumped out!
Hopefully it will settle..and they will accept him...what do you think?

Given a few days it will hopefull settle down into the herd. I take it you felt like throttling the thing when you finally got hold of him?!
