Don't know what is wrong with my knobber but he is being decidedly un-knobberish. This was his second attempt at this jumping business ( first was in May) and bless him if he didn't jump two clear rounds. The first was in trot but we had canter in the second (tiny jumps 2 foot first round and only 2'3'' -2'6'' in the second) but he was a very good boy in terms of standing around and standing on the lorry which is what actually matters when you own a knobber. And he was fourth which I wasn't expecting and had to be legged up in a hurry with the zips on my boots down and my girth undone to get my rosette.
Second class we tipped the first and were clear after that ( I knew we would, it was tiny and rustic and basic and I just knew he wasn't going to give it any respect!) so all in all he was very good.
I am confused and am also living in constant dread that when the knobber like behaviour returns it'll be 100x worse as he will have to make up for lost time!
