After being, what I believe, messed around by the seller of the horse I was supposed to see tomorrow I'm having no luck finding a share horse. It took me about 3 months to find her and she was perfect, shame the owner decided to lie her way through..

I'm not really after anything precise, just as long as it's within the Buckinghamshire area. I don't drive as of yet because it's always been a choice between a riding lesson or a driving lesson and you can imagine which wins!

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had any tips/advice as to how you found your horse (share or not).
So far I've tried almost every website possible and I've started to ring my local tack shops/riding schools. At wit's end to be honest with you, seems like nothing's going my way at the moment.

Thanks in advance and wish me luck!

How do you manage without driving?

I don't think I would have been able to ride any of my share horses if I didn't drive, as none of them have been on bus routes or within cycling distance...

I live right in the middle of Buckinghamshire so there's bus routes to basically anywhere. I'm pretty lucky because almost every village/town surrounding me has horses, whether it's private stables, livery yards or riding schools.

I've found some amazing horses but distance is never a problem really.

Make your own looking for a share advert and go to local livery yards and see if they will put up an advert for you in their tea room, some people have found shares this way at our yard or put up an advert maybe in local supermarkets or shops.

Maybe ask local RC if they will put an ad up for you on their websites or if they know anyone.
