I often think kids would be better off learning to ride on horses, pony's are often far trickier!

I wish I'd thought to take photos/videos of a little rider at my first stables. She had her own Welsh A but was a gutsy little rider and after riding my boy (15.3hh) in the school she took him out to the field and jumped an entire course of 1.10 jumps beautifully. She was either 5 or 6 years old at the time and went on to become one of the best pony sjers in Scotland

i learnt to ride on a horse about 15.2hh then once i was better, he put me on a tiny 14hh pony. funnily enough, the 14hh one was the biggest devil ive sat on to date
