Little ponies owners have said that yes of course they will buy a rug and i have to just let them know what she needs.
This comes off the back of me finding her shivering uncontrollably yesterday. I have a few that id bought but turned out not even slightly waterproof, she can share my ponies but its a problem wearing and drying. I don't really have enough lighter properly waterproof for two in prolonged rain. @meleeka is kindly sending one to help, that's a 100g so i thought is i ask for a light weight in horrible wet cold weather i have the layering option.
I have plenty of indoor and fly stuff, also a few really warmer ones for winter she can share.

So I'm thinking light weight, maybe a removable neck would be the most versatile and best use of the offer!

Are the Amigo Pony Plus type any good? I have a pony Bravo 12 but think that was quite ££ (second hand find!) that fits her nicely. Unfortunately its also one of my ponies most used rugs and they can't both have it!

I have had the Amigo pony and horse range and they are good, despite all the extra stupid fastenings! I would go with a no-fill and get secondhand liners. I wish I'd done this years ago as it's a game changer for washing the outer i.e. I don't need to!

Ruggles fit little ponies well.

Or I'm a fan of the shires no fills. All 3 of mine have one now. I put a waffle rug under them if I don't think they need a liner. My baby pony had a waffle under his last night as was shivering in the field when I got there after work. Took the waffle off about 8.30pm and he was all dry (and warm) underneath. Shires no fill don't seem to condensate like others do.

For the shires rugs I think the zero fill Typhoons are better than the highlanders for staying waterproof but I do like shires rugs. The 100g highlanders are a bit better than the no fill.

I got a decently cheap amigo with a neck and thought it was good. Mine is pretty bad for trashing her rugs so she did get it demolished after a while.

I said I’d send a few links, thinking different price ranges so they can decide.

Agree ideally 1200d but in reality it’s probably not going to need to last years and years.
I don’t *think the typhoons come with a removable neck which is a shame.
It’s actually proving a bit of a tricky find!
I’d go with Amigo 50g make sure any rug is at least 1200 denier. Amigo last years. You can layer or buy liners for them. So glad you’ve taken the pony in.

I am aswell. It’s actually really lovely from a selfish pov to see my little grey monster with an actual friend who isn’t trying to chase him off the hay etc

Another idea, Maxima? 1200d they do smaller sizes and a detachable neck, bit bright but on paper they sound idea and have free post. I'm struggling to find a Shires in 4'9 with a detachable neck or an Amigo for that matter.
I'd hoped to send 3/4 or varying price as I have no idea what the budget is!

I love my Swish Equestrian rug, waterproof, durable - I got the 50g and then you can get 50/100/200 etc liners to attach to make it thicker! Not crazy expensive too I think I paid around £80 for mine! They also do the waterproof fly rugs which look great too!
