So today is finally here- my daughters and ponies first ever show !
I feel sick with nerves and hardly slept last night!! ( think that's the worry about driving the horsebox loaded to the show!)

My daughter has worked so hard to get ready, the pony is gleaming, the tack is clean, the car is loaded!!

Bit of a pointless post- but wish us luck please :)

Have a fabulous day! I am not a parent but we have a 12 year old girl on our yard who is a complete dare devil and her poor mother grows at least one new grey hair everyday!

Take lots of pictures and enjoy the day x

Good luck! I feel your pain. My daughter is off to do her first ODE - neither her or pony have any experience xc other than a fairly unsuccessful clinic recently - and although they are only doing the mini course I think it'll be the worst 5 mins of my life so far!

Look forward to your report later of what a great day you've had ;)

Thank you for everyone's kind words- today exceeded all hopes and expectation!!
Pony loaded and travel well, settled at the show quickly.

My daughter amazed me, remembered everything she's been taught ( and even tho she's only 9yrs old she showed some of the older competitiors about manners- always thanked the judges , kept a good space from the horse in front, didn't panic despite a couple of people using her ponies bottom as a cushion to stop against !!)

For a first show were both delighted- she came away with 1x 1st, 2x2nd, 2x 3rd, 5th and two specials.

The first was for first ridden ( which she was very nervous about entering!) she won her rosette, a cup and qualified for another show :)

The sun shone and I couldn't of been prouder of her or her pony :)
