Got a new horse 4 weeks ago and he was everything i have been looking for totally stunning and amazing to ride with good breeding etc.
Once i got him found out alot of people knew him & fnd out alot about his history, hes just turned 6 and sounds like hes just been totally passed around with people not knowing what there doing with him.
Also know hes been through dealers and people who have hit him etc. as he was cut late so displays stallion like behaviour sometimes.
As a result of that he is very aggressive in the field and in the stable.
I havnt been doing alot with him as yard has strangles and cant leave it so been using the time to bond with him as in the first week he would turn and buck at you.

feel like in the last week we have made loads of progress just getting him to chill out and reasling not everyone will bray him when he puts a foot wrong!

sorry for the total random pointless post but just feel so happy with him as people were telling me to get rid of him as hes dangerous.

Yay for you for being a good mum.
Never listen to the stories as you will find they are generally fabrications of the truth.
Keep up the good work and enjoy your new ned.

Ditto this - some people like to frighten you - enjoy your boy, he's lucky to have you too

usually its not the horses fault, just people not experienced enough or willing to do things properly. Patience is a great asset with difficult horses and lacking in many owners. im glad you are giving him a chance, just be careful!
