Was coming back from a ride last night at about 7.30pm and it was starting to get dark!

Did we miss the summer? And long rides in the evening?
Ive just turned mine out 24/7 and looks like they're be coming in again soon!

Felt quite depressed really, doesnt seem like we've had a summer at all this year.

Am wishing for an indian summer, a lovely mild september where the skies are so clear that it doesnt actually feel like the evenings are getting shorter. Think I have eaten too much chocolate this afternoon sat at my desk at work. This is Angleterre after all lol......... x

It's not just the nights. I get up at around 5:30am in order to ride before going to work and it's now still dark. Can just about sneak out at around 5:45am but not for much longer.

depressing isn't it, but on the up side, from December they will be getting lighter again.

*Ducks missiles thrown*

Agree - I had to rush to finish mine in any light at 8.30pm last night (lights in yard not working at the moment....grr!) I will be able to check light conditions in the morning for myself when I get up at 5.15am to go to Burghley tomorrow....why did I suggest an early start!?

I have completely lost the summer as I did my back in badly when my horse was shedding his winter coat and I was given the all clear to ride again last week and my horses winter coat is starting to come through!!!! Talk about missing the summer riding! Oh well, just glad to be back on board but this time last year I had clocked up 250km in endurance rides!
I don't mind the winter too much so long as it is not too wet all the time. I am leaving my horse out 24/7 this year so looking forward to an easier life!

I know! It sucks! Actually had to use the lights in the arena last night when i rode at 8pm! Its so depressing. The only other time i've had to use them since last winter was when i rode at 10pm a couple of months back.
