Okay, so I have decided to ditch my whip when schooling at home. After all, what kind of harmonious relationship involves whips? (Perhaps I shouldn't have asked that! :p) I thought I would make a little diary of it here, so we can all be inspired... So here is what the horse thought....

*DISCLAIMER*
This is meant as a bit of fun. Oh and this is the diary of a Thoroughbred. I think that covers it. :p

18/06/10...
The human must be riding today. It is overcast and a gusty wind is picking up. Perfect. Here she comes with the...eh? Where has the beating stick gone? Oh my mistake. She has a big flicky one waiting for me to lunge me with. And then she is going to ride me. Perhaps I should start looking ill; throw a sicky;conveniently go dog lame on the right hind?

Half an hour later...and onboard..
Wow. What an easy ride. Bit of a fall-in here, a giraffe neck there...this is my ideal. No intermittent little prods up the backside and working at as slow a pace as possible. Perhaps I should pretend I am in pain and she'll cut the session short?

...
Okay, so maybe I took the pain thing a bit too far. I was soooo behind the leg, the human thought I might have twisted my pelvis again. Or perhaps popped a few vertebrae out of place? Either way, she was looking decidedly worried....

No beating stick again today. How odd. Perhaps I should play hard to get...all I have to do is relax slightly into a contact when I feel like it and she will be decidedly happy with me and give me armfuls of apples in my dinner tonight. Yay! Its a win/win situation.

....

I was right about the apples! :D:D

Until next time,

Pete

An interesting time :D

I ride with a stick, but don't beat my hoss with it - she'd quite rightly put me into orbit if I did :D :D. I use it as an extension of my arm/leg, either to fine tune or reinforce an aid, or to scratch her ears or nose with lol :D
